Perhaps I should flush out the question a bit more, ;)

Are there any filesize limitations in the smbfs/cifs drivers in 2.6.9? How can I access files >2GB using Samba and remote Windows shares?

In attempting to `dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/windows-share)`, the dd stops at 2.0GB with an error that states 'File size limit exceeded'. The share was mounted with `mount -t smbfs //SERVER/share /mnt/windows-share`. The box is a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 box running the 2.6.9-11.EL kernel.
